Zoe Hodgkinson – FdSc, MFHT, MARR.
My journey as a Clinical Complementary Therapy Practitioner began in 2010 after suffering the bereavement of both parents. I was recommended to read a book about Reiki and told that everything is energy. Upon completion of the book, a Reiki level I course came to my attention, of which I completed and have never looked back. It gave me balance and a sense of peace when my world had been turned upside down.
My passion ignited, I wanted to make a difference. Knowing how the therapy had helped me, It inspired me to want to help others . Complementary therapies work holistically so they aim to restore balance to mental, physical and emotional aspects of ourselves to create harmony and well-being.
I have trained in numerous different treatments to give me a wider range to offer to my clients whilst expanding my knowledge. I gained a distinction in the Foundation Degree of Science Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice (Clinical Aromatherapy and Clinical Reflexology) in September 2015. The aim of this course was to show how using evidence based medicine, Complementary Therapies can be integrated to work alongside conventional healthcare providers. Also, to demonstrate that the therapies can impact on health and wellbeing by relieving symptoms of conditions, they are not just for relaxation!
I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT), Association of Reproductive Reflexologists (ARR), The Angelic Reiki Association and also have a Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS).
